Week 5

The Blog is up, but his weeks Pool Party was a disaster!  There was nothing but dong shots and donkey shows.  It appears that our NFL teams were throwing feces at us this week, only this time; Bobby didn’t get hit in the face…

So here’s what went down:

The most picked team of the week this week was the San Diego (Not So Super) Chargers who were regretfully picked by 4 before they went down to Al Davis’ corpse.   The rest of us bow down in front of Randy McMichael and thank him for being inept at picking up a football.  3 teams were picked 3 times apiece (Jaguars, Saints and Ravens).  3 Teams were also only picked once (Falcons, Colts, and Lions.)  The Bengals, Saints, and Chargers provided the carnage with 9 total losses.

Quick Rundown:

14 people are still around
10 people have a strike against them
5 people gained a strike this week
4 people were knocked out
4 people are flawless
7 people are F’in out!

On to…

The Pick of the Week!

I really don’t want to give this one to this person after he demanded pomp and circumstance and because I actually had a good pick this week, but the pick goes to Bobby Philbrook for his pick of the Lions.  Only to be out done next week if the Niners can actually win a game…look for him in the worst pick of the week column.  Great man’s game pick Bobby, it takes a lot of patience to be able to watch enough NFC West games to be able to predict them.

Worst Pick of the Week:

With so many losses this was hard to choose from since all the teams went down, but this week Neil Jubitz takes the cake with the Chargers.  Why Neil of all the 9 people who lost this week?  Well, because Neil (Judas) is actually a Raiders fan.  You can’t pick against your own team like that!  It’s immoral and it’s only allowed if you are a Bills or Browns fan.  So Neil you get the worst pick of the week for bringing Karma upon yourself, as well as the other 3 people you screwed over by picking them.  Now remember folks, don’t choose this guy on the road.

So after this week we have learned a few things.  Don’t trust the Chargers on the road (0-3 against bad teams).  The T.Ocho show is going to pay much better dividends than picking the Bengals will, and don’t trust Sean Peyton after winning a Super Bowl.  Oh, and always pick against the Bills…

He still hasn’t sobered up….thank you Sean Peyton.

Also, after 5 weeks (really 4) the Redskins have hosed the most people in the league in one week.  The Bengals are the only team that have hurt people in different weeks.

Now its that time for us to say goodbye again…

This week we say goodbye to 4 brave men who found themselves at the receiving end of a lot of bad losses.  This week we say good bye too Sam Finley, Dan Fitzpatrick, Matt Nichols, and drum roll please….RYAN PURCELL!  Now why is Ryan getting such high praise?  Well Ryan’s Mom dropped off same cash this weekend, just in time for Purcell to get donkey punched by the only safe pick he took during this whole party.  So we would all like to thank the Chargers and Saints for getting us that much closer to $420 duckets.  Don’t fret though guys, I still had time to get your pictures and subsequent bios (still to come) for the website.  You won’t go away in vain and you certainly didn’t have as bad of a week as a certain Braves 2nd baseman did (MOTHER FU#$%*!!!!).  Also, to our knowledge you didn’t have any dong shots either, but lets face it.  If I had Jenn Sterger’s number I’d wish I had too…

On a final note.  This Party is going down hill faster than Alex Smith’s career (ok, not possible), but we are heading for this thing being done by week 9.  I propose a side pot if anyone is interested.  You can re-up by week 8 and have all your teams back in it.  What do you guys think?  Since many are out, and many like myself are limping in I thought it would be fun to extend the season a bit for those of us who would like to keep playing.  So whether you are in or not you can join the side pot, which will have no connection to the $420 invested.  I was thinking $10 a person this time around and everyone gets every team to choose from again.  What do you guys think?  I will need actual responses if you are interested or not so let me know soon!

Now enjoy the blog!  It isn’t fully finished yet, but its on its way.  Apparently after you close it down things don’t like to stay put so sorry it took so long.  Let me know your thoughts and opinions and let me know if I can do anything else.

Thanks and don’t forget to pick!

Ryan McPool Master

P.S.  Don’t sue me.

  1. Really not sure I want to be associated with this wretched hive of defamation and libel, but good work McAndrew. With the power of time stamps, we can finally be sure you don't call a third quarter audible to my "lock of the week"

Everyone in this pool going to take the steelers this week and rightfully so. Have the browns thrown in the towel and brought back Dr. Frank Ryan or Bernie Koser to play QB? But the actual can't miss bet this week are the Niners and the (Sf) Giants. Singletary's job's on the line and the Raiders haven't won a road game since Rich Gannon was throwing to Doug Jolly. Baseball-wise, Matt Cain is better than Roy Oswalt, simple as that.

Points to Kevin for that concrete wall blast
