Week 6 Update

The lamest week of the year…The Steelers could not have been more of a lock for this week and almost everyone chose them.  So since this week was anti-climatic and lame, so will this weekly update.

The Steelers were the most picked team this week with 8 people taking them.  It was followed with 2 teams being picked twice (Giants and Niners).  Two others were picked 1 time.  Only one sorry bastard lost this week.

Quick Rundown:
13 people are still around
10 people have a strike against them
No one gained strikes this week
1 person was knocked out
4 people are still flawless
and 8 people are F’in out!

It’s that time again….

It’s the Pick of the WEEK!!!

This weeks pick of the week goes to…..Sam Heinlein; his second of the year!  That’s right, Sam picked the Dolphins to beat the Packers in Lambeau field and nailed it.  This award is quickly turning into the Sammies.  Now if I hadn’t lost most of my life savings on the Beavers losing to the Huskies cause some Hawainn A’hole can’t make a catch I would have bet money that the Packers would have lost as well.  Unfortunately, I’m a Packer fan and am now broke so neither of those things happened.  So thank you Mike McCarthy and thank you poor man’s asian who couldn’t catch a football!  Congratulations yet again Sam.  2 pick of the weeks and no strikes.  This man is in it to win it!  No complaining Bobby, two people picked the Niners who were playing the Raiders at home.  The Raiders haven’t won a road game since 2002.

Worst Pick of the Week:

Well it goes to the only man who lost.  This week’s donkey show goes to Paul Andrews for picking the Chargers.  Hey, if you aren’t reading these updates then I’m going to stop writing them because I told everyone to not trust the guy from the Goonies on the road.  Let’s take a look at the Chargers 4, count em!  4! losses.  KC, Seattle, Oakland, and St Louis.  Woooooof! This is not the Chargers of old who choked in the playoffs.  They are bad and Merrimen isn’t injecting the entire line backing core in the ass with steroids anymore.  So when this team is on the road hide your kids, hide your husband, and hide your pool party cause the Chargers are rapin errrbody out here!!!

So lets go over last weeks lesson one more time.  The Chargers are awful on the road even against terrible teams.  Continue to pick against the Bills…

Elimination Time

This week we wish Paul Andrews a goodbye.  He fought hard and ended up being a fairly decent pool boy, especially after that tough week 1 loss.  He bounced back only to not listen to the commissioners warning…We thank you Paul, for your financial contributions as well as giving me something to write about this week.  I was screwed until you handed me an Obama sized bailout.  We will think of you always whenever we open the bio page and see your blacked out face to start us off.  We hope you find comfort with Roy Oswalt.

Roy Oswalt still loves you Paul

We have two weeks to find out if anyone is interested in a re-up side pot starting in week 8.  Also, we need hits on this blog site.  Were getting less hits than Trent’s resume right now, and neither of us are happy about it.

Don’t forget to Pick!

  2. I think this is the week Ryan Fitzpatrick leads America's Team to victory. Unfortunately, I think Tom Brady is going to drop my Chargers like a pregnant Bridget Moynahan...

  3. Bobby, I also expect to see you pick the Cardinals and Rams soon

  4. Without recent updates...I might want to re-nig on that side pot and cut my losses at 20$. I think this gambling ring has gone belly up like a grumpy old English teacher on a Jesuit Women's Encounter.
