Week 11 and 12

Poolsters,
Where do I begin?  How about with a week lamer than Erik Weiss in bed after a couple drinks?

Bam!  There you have it.  Week 11.  That’s right people, not a single person lost in the main pot or the Re-Up.  However, your Pool Master made a fatal blunder while traveling in week 10.  Without looking hard enough, this guy forgot the fact that Ryan Purcell is the first ever Pool Boy Donk of the Re-Up.  In week 10 Ryan errantly picked the Giants who got smoked by John (Presidential Candidate 2022) Kitna and his Cowboys.  So I should make fun of you, but I’m leaving the floor open to you and Pandrews for my awful gaffe.  Let’s just move on to week 12.
Week 12
Welp, the Main Pool Party was about as tempting as Bobby’s many pick up offers to Lindsay “The Cougar” Arnold in high school, “Hey Lindsay…need a lift?  You can ride in my Mustang.”  Yup…she didn’t bite and I’m not either.
Pick of the Week
Oh wait, there isn’t one because the team picked the most often this week was the Browns.  Thanks to the Carolina Shankopontamus’ many of us sneaked away with a win.  We’ll take it, and hope that a real QB doesn’t show up in Cleveland to make this a worthwhile pick again.  Wow, can’t believe I said that about the Browns.
Worst Pick of the Week
Drew Millar for that hooker he took home from the Dolphin II on Weds night.  Honorable Mention:  That steak you all ate underneath Caitlin Keys on amateur night.

Bobby, Pat Kelly and Trent are still flawless.  Followed by yours truly, Heinlein, Lambo, and Weiss.  7 contenders with many non contenders left as their only picks…
The Re-Up
We were so close to having another outing in the Re-Up but the Buffalo “God Hating” Bills could not hang on…Pandrews and Clarke live to fight another day.  So we don’t have a pick of the week again but fortunately…as he so often does, Marcus Arnold has provided us with more opportunities to laugh at his expense.  Its…the….
Donk Pick of the Week!
That’s right.  Marcus is the only loser this week with his pick of the RRRRRRaaaaiders.  Raider nation shined in Darkness yet again, and fortunately for us you can’t see Marcus in the darkness.
Marcus and the Singaporeschlongs are having a rough week...
You lose this week Marcus, and have your first strike against you.  Let’s keep em coming!

So after just a couple weeks we have 1 person completely out.  5 people with Strikes and 4 people who are flawless.
Now, let’s all have a far more exciting week 13.  To spice things up a little bit during this week I won’t be showing the SingaporeSchlongs again I’ll be doing a poll question, cause let’s be honest, besides dead people jokes and jokes regarding me having hill billy weddings, there aren’t a whole lot of comments going down on this blog.  So let’s kick it off with an ESPNesque pointless poll!  Out of our 3 remaining flawless partiers in the main pot who do you want to win the least?
Bobby Philbrook
Trent Striplin
Pat Kelly
I’ll start it off in the comments below.  Please join me.  Have a great week everybody.

Week 10 Update

Wondering why the update took so long?  Cause we all picked the same damn team!  What do you want a best pick of the week and the Goat Pick?!  No!  Everyone picked the Bucs!  As Will Ferrell once said "It's the same face!  Don't you see?!  I feel like I'm taking crazy pills here!"  Well I am.  The only person not to take the Bucs this week was Nick Lamb.  So there is your shoutout Nick.  Consider this your pick of the week.  Without putting any more effort into this (because let's be honest, no one else did when they saw this matchup) here are the results this week.

So there you have it.  It looks like this league may infact go the distance now.

RE-UP

Somewhat more exciting.  Ok....not really.  Everyone picked the Bucs again except two which gives me juuuuuuust enough to talk about.

Pick of the Week!

Goes to Michael Zahler.  Michael wins this week for actually picking the Bills who previously had not won a game.  Defying all logic and mostly because this was probably the only time the Bills will ever win, he gets the pick of the week.  To water this exciting award down some, the Bills were favored to win this game and Michael picked them so that he would get knocked out because "this league stresses me out too much."

Worst Pick of the Week

Goes to Paul Andrews for being the only person to have a wrong pick in the US this entire week.  You also picked the Lions so regardless of who they were playing it looks poorly when you choose incorrectly.  Thank you Paul, you brought it excitement to us all with your Donk pick of the week.  Did I mention the Bills were favored?

On to the standings!

Also, most of you still have not paid.  I have a little over half of the money in.  Some of you have been in touch with me about getting it to me, but others I have heard absolutely nothing from.  Get it in ASAP.  I will come beckoning...

Thanks,

Week 9 Update

Poolster’s

I told Percy I’d get this update in on time this week!  This week turned out to be decently eventful, but we missed what could have been the best week ever.  6 people could have gone down, but the Raiders pulled it off in over time thanks to Janikoski’s junk.  No but seriously, if anyone saw that game you saw Janikowski’s man hood beaking out ALL game.  I felt like I was stuck in the J-High chapel facing do south at a spread eagle Mark Udarbe.  Unfortunately, this was 60 minutes worth.

Bulge

Anyways, two others lucked out on a goal line stand as time was expiring with the Falcons and one person was saved by his Holiness, Brett Favre, in the Metrodome.  Brad Childress was about to get a lot more anger headed his way this week if the Cards won that one.

On a side note.  I think everyone should take the time and read Bobby and Nick Lamb’s comments in weeks 6 and 7/8 respectively.  These are our friends, or at least gambling partners.  We have awful friends.  Nick and Bobby, you two at the very least will share the award for worst comment of the season, if not ever.  Also, thank you very much for the pictures you sent me, Nick.  I do truly appreciate it and they are good.  I’ll make sure to incorporate them at some point, however; nothing comes close to your brothers beautiful mug.

Quick Recap

7 people are still around
4 people have a strike against them
2 people were knocked out
no one gained a strike
3 people are flawless
14 people are F’in Out

Pick of the Week

I’m going a little selfish this week.  This week I’m taking the crown with my pick of the Vikings!  I would have given this award to Bobby, but if anyone witnessed that Chefs/Raiders game it was too awful to be handing out awards to.  I think Janikowski’s balls are really to blame here though.

I know, that's about how exciting the pick of the week was this week.

Worst Pick of the Week

It was really a toss up since two people lost on upsets.  This week however, goes to Kyle Schultz.  Anytime you get blown out by the Browns…someone has to pay the consequences.  We all know Tom Brady isn’t going to suffer the consequences.  He is just going to dump it off like a pregnant ex GF and Kyle, this week, you are that pregnant ex GF.

Elimination Time

A two fold serenade!  We would like to wish Kyle Shultz and Dan Stone adieu.  This really is their final goodbye this year because they did not decide to join the Re-Up.  See, sometimes gambling even more does pay off.  The two best QB in the league couldn’t muster up anything for these partygoers so their time is over after 8 short weeks.  We will take their $40 total dollars in stride and wish them the best in their future endeavors.  Perhaps there will be more room in the pool next year.  Your F’in out!

THE RE-UP

The Re-Up this week was much more boring than last week and is even more boring then the main pot even though we have more people.  We can again thank the Browns for shaking things up a bit.

Rundown
All 10 people remain
6 people are flawless
4 people have a strike against them
1 person gained a strike this week
No one is F’in Out

Pick of the Re-Up Week

Goes to Pat Kelly.  A tough pick and a goal line stand helped keep Pat from being a Donk this week.  However, his Seahawks did not have the same outcome.  Congratulations Pat, you are not a Donk, but your football team surely is.

Worst Pick

Goes to the only person that lost.  Michael Zahler.  What can I say that hasn’t been said before?  I’ll just flash Janikowski’s junk one more time for good measure.  That should about sum up this pick.

So here are the standings after this week…

So there we have it guys.  Just hit the half way mark of the season.  Congrats to everyone who is still around.  It is definitely one of the toughest years in recent memory, believe me, cause my bookie is thrilled.  Our courage level for those still around I would say has to be close to this young girl.  Ah...so inspiring.

Also, if you are in the Re-Up I have only received payment for 5 out of 10 of you.  Payment is due on Monday so make sure to get it in ASAP.  I know ya’ll are good for it.  Purcell, don’t make me call your mother again.  Also, the site has been updated a bit in efforts to show this league isn’t going belly up quite yet.  Profiles have been updated and a gem of a picture has been added.

Bests,

The McPool Master
